Daily Word from Dave.

Messages from my Dad-
January 12th:
"Today begin expressing to others FROM YOUR HEART what you notice is good and right.  Make this a priority all the time and eventually the process will become part of you."

January 13th:
"Be still, quiet your head and know no matter how burdened you feel God is your only lasting safe haven from the challenges from in and from out of us.  We often make the mistake of relying on ourself or on others.  Be a blessing because you are a blessing."

January 14th:
"Our natural desire to control everything we experience or to play God is one of the reasons we experience stress and prevents us from being present at this very moment in our life.  A very sad reality for everyone and the root cause of dependency."

January 17th:
"Peace joy and contentment, not contingent on the circumstances of life like a vacation or on how others are treating us or on beleiving all is in order and we are in control, are realized when we surrender and let go of everything we know are not good and right.  It is being present right now in this very moment in a thankful spirit experiencing all the good.  It is a decision, a way of life, a commitment to change."

January 19th:
"An important part of being responsible for how we think feel and behave is taking our inventory and admitting to other whens we were wrong.  Progress not perfection."

January 20th:
"Expectations of anybody or anything are tomorrows resentments, sorrows, downer times, frustrations and most negative experiences.  If we are looking only at what needs to chance in us we stand a better chance of lowering our expectations of others and things."

Janaury 21st:
"When the challenges come and I assure they will, be best prepared by knowing in your heart that challenges are opportunities in disguise to change and become a better person.  Do your best and get up when knocked down and never give up.  Eventually you will look back and recognize the growth.  Be patient in facing challenges knowing that effort is like a farmer planting a seed."
