Blueberry Apple Crumble

Ingredients
  • 4 cups sliced peeled tart apples
  • 2 cups blueberries
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour, divided
  • 2 cups quick cooking oats (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons agave nectar (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice (optional)
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted

Directions

    Place apples in a greased baking dish.


Squeeze lemon juice and extra cinnamon onto apples (optional)



Top with blueberries.


Drizzle Agave Nectar over the fruit (optional)


Mix brown sugar and 2 tablespoons flour; sprinkle over fruit.



Combine sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and remaining flour.


Stir in egg and oats with a fork until mixture is crumbly.



Sprinkle over fruit; drizzle with butter.



Bake at 350 degrees F for 55-60 minutes or until apples are tender. Serve warm and enjoy!



This recipe was modified from a recipe I found from Taste of Homes magazine.  You can substitute any kinds of fruit that you may have in the kitchen.  Serve with vanilla ice cream!  Delicious!!
